Expansion of Existing Structure

Originally designed for 340 students, this existing structure, designed by renowned architect John M. Johansen, was expanded to accommodate 600. The original concept of modular classrooms connected by corridors radiating from a central circulation core was maintained. Brightly colored enclosed ramps connect the multi-level classroom/gymnasium/cafeteria wings at glass-enclosed nodes. The open spaces provide a court yard and amphitheater for a variety of events.
